Xerox Docuwide Qcontrol

Xerox Qcontrol is a powerful and easy to use application that adds a new dynamic to the productivity and versatility of Xerox Wide Format devices.

Combined with the fast processing power of the Accxes controller, Qcontrol satisfies the demands of a busy print room with the simple convenience obtained from queue management.

Qcontrol provides an interface for the print room to view, control and route print jobs. The print queue can be used in manual or automatic mode, and jobs can be stored for later reprints.

Without the need of a dedicated PC (see system requirements), Qcontrol is implemented with the minimum of fuss. Its simple operation means benefits are quickly realised.

• Invisible operation to users sending network print jobs from Xerox Wide Format print drivers, third party Windows print drivers (providing they produce a supported file format) and Accxes Client Tools
• Auto detection of print options and information from jobs generated using Xerox Accxes printer drivers and Client Tools
• View and modify all parameters for each job, e.g. size, finishing or number of copies
• Integrated job editor for drag and drop creation and modification of print jobs, and viewing of all supported document formats
• Choose between manual and automatic printing as required. Jobs can also be automatically filtered on their parameters
• Produce immediate reprints
• Supports submission of HPGL/2 (PLT), TIFF, JPEG, CALS, Postscript and PDF format documents
• Supports multiple network and folder based queues
• Printer load balancing shares jobs between printers
• Rule based printing, allows comprehensive control of printing. Job options can be added or changed automatically according to a jobs properties. e.g. selecting printers based on page size or finishing requirements, or holding all jobs from certain sources
• Output job activity log in CSV format

• Intel or AMD based PC, Pentium 600MHz or greater (Pentium 4 recommended)
• Windows 2000 or XP with latest service packs
• 250MB of available disk space for application and sufficient space for print queue
• 512Mb RAM or greater
• CD-ROM Drive for installation
• 1024 by 768 or greater resolution display
• TCP/IP Networking support. For full functionality firewall software may have to be configured to allow access to certain ports

Note: Memory requirements of other applications on the host PC must be taken into account when considering using Qcontrol.
